Nice and wide in the toe box and super cushioned sole. Very comfortable.
I have several pairs of them in earlier models. My favorite and most comfortable for me were the Torin 7 version.When I first received these they felt a bit too roomy in the toe box and needed a bit of breaking in.I wear them for everyday walking. I have neuropathy and arthritis in my toes and flat feet. After a few wearings, I find them extremely comfortable and love the higher cushioned sole. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again and most likely will in other colors.

I absolutely love these shoes! The fit is perfect — they don’t compress my toes at all, yet they still feel secure without that sloppy, oversized feel you often get when sizing up in athletic shoes. The cushioning is incredible; it honestly feels like I’m walking on a cloud. That’s saying a lot considering I have heel spurs, and most shoes leave me in pain.On top of the comfort, the grey with vibrant pink accents is such a fun, eye-catching combo. It’s stylish without being over.Highly recommend for anyone who wants support, comfort, and a pop of color.

They are truly the best shoe. So comfortable.
These are so comfortable. I have arthritis in my little toe and can’t wear any other shoe I was stuck wearing flip flops so my toe wouldn’t touch any thing. I bought a pear from another shoe store. But got the black ones here for 45 dollars cheaper. Will never wear another kind of shoe. The wide toe is perfect!

Love this addition to my barefoot game!
I am slowly leaning into the barefoot shoe game, two years ago I jumped into too fast and had a year of foot pain to show for it. So, I use these Altra’s for walking a few miles a day about 4 times a week, I switch off with New Balance 580’s and Brooks (old Ghosts). Altra’s are not as squishy as the Brooks Ghost nor as arch-supportive as the New Balance.What I love is how connected to the ground I feel with enough cushion to walk and not worry about foot pain. The wide toe box is amazing, I especially love the difference in feel for uphill walking flexibility, I feel the whole of my toes and ball of foot fully working as I push off with each step. I find these very comfortable but not squishy/cloud-like/springy, again it promotes a more grounded and secure footing feel. Personally, I like the style, they fit true to size for me and adore the blue color. Will buy again, thanks for making these.

I got these for my wife as a gift. I will come back to this review once I get her to wear them.I have many pairs of the Altras, but just love the Torin ones.For me, the best shoe that your foot would want.No pain after long walks and runs. They fit amazingly on my foot.We shall see what my wife’s response will be in a few days.Do yourself a favor and just buy them!!

So comfy!
After wearing these to Orange Theory for 6 months, and trying other shoes to compare (ie Brooks), i can confidently say that these are an extremely comfy shoe for running and walking. The cushion feels perfect and the heel to toe step transition is very smooth. The toe box is perhaps a bit too wide for me but i have narrow feet and still appreciate the extra room up there. They’re not super comfy around the ankles when wearing no show socks, but fantastic with ankle or crew socks. I also kinda wish they were a 4mm drop instead of zero, but that’s personal choice. Going to try a 4mm Altra shoe next. I also wear the Rivera 3’s for work and also have the Lone Peaks for hiking. Probably an Altra girl for life now ☺️

Not wide enough
I purchased these, in part, because of many reviews stating these had the widest toe box among minimalist shoes. I previously had bought a much less expensive barefoot shoes that had a very generous toe box, so I expected these to be at least comparable. They are not. While the ends of the toes have ample room, the width at the ball of the foot is extremely tight. Additionally, the height from the insole to the shoe top is insufficient and tight even with laces excessively loosened. I consider my feet moderately wide, though generally “taller” in the middle than most. Whether I require wide-width shoes typically depends on the brand, though often I don’t. On a positive note, the shoes seem to have a reasonably comfortable insole (ie, not barefoot feel), and they are made in Vietnam, not China, which is a plus in my book.

material is great in general, sole is a little higher with 30 mm and soft, and zero heal toe elevation, which is great. but the challenge is the top of the heal area of the shoe is very high up and hard/ edgy and makes it uncomfortable. Otherwise great quality shoe.
